Annual HOA Meeting on Monday (1/16)
Hi Neighbors,
It’s the start of another year, and with that comes our annual HOA meeting. It will be held this Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7pm at the fire station located just north of Arlington Ave and Shelbyville Road.
At a high level we will be:
- Electing some new officers for the board. These volunteers will be managing and leading the HOA for the next year.
- Reviewing the 2011 budget and presenting the 2012 budget.
- Review previous year’s projects.
- Discuss potential projects for 2012.
- Listen to and address comments/questions from our homeowners.
I realize this is probably not the most exciting thing you’ll do all year, but it is an important event for the community and I’m asking you all to come. If you need to bring your kids, they’re more than welcome. We’ll set up a table in the back with something creative to do.
If you have not paid your dues you may bring your check to the meeting. As a reminder, if you have a financial hardship and wish to make special payment arrangements with the board. please do so by January 31, 2012. All discussions will remain confidential.
If you have questions, please email the board: board (at) sycamorerun (dot) org
See everyone there!

Neighborhood Block Party / Picnic Today!
A reminder to everyone that today (7/9) at 5pm is the Sycamore Run Block Party. The Bounce House was delivered this morning. Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and tableware will be provided. Please bring a dish to share according to your last name:
- A-L = Dessert
- M-Z = Salad / Side Dish
As always, feel free to bring lawn chairs, games, balls—you know, the fun stuff! If I can round up a couple more hoses, I was considering setting up a sprinkler in the common area to help the kids beat the heat.
Bounce House provided by Roger Moran (317) 339-9175

Garage Sale Tomorrow and Saturday
As a reminder our annual community garage sale is happening tomorrow and Saturday. The sale officially starts at 8am and has no specified end time.
We have placed an ad in the paper promoting the sale, and we will have a sign delivered to the front of the neighborhood later tonight.
Please accept my apologies for the timeliness of a promotional sign at the front of the neighborhood. We had a vendor scheduled to deliver a sign yesterday which fell through. We were able to secure a sign this afternoon from a different company, All Occasions Yard Cards (317-781-1557).

Found: White Pekingese Dog
We found a male white pekingese dog in our back yard today. It has an up-to-date rabies tag, but no owner’s information. If this dog belongs to you or you know who it belongs to, please call Mark or Shannon Frank at 887-3041.
UPDATE – We were able to locate the owners. They just recently moved in to Red Fox and were ecstatic that we found him. ;-)

Correction Re: Free Tree Distribution by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful
Please note the following correction in the previous post:
Corrected Sentence (towards the end): “Trees are to be planted in neighborhoods and not resold.”
It incorrectly read, “Trees are not to be planted in neighborhoods and not resold.”
Sorry, I forgot to correct the mistake before emailing the story to everyone!
